BUILD A WORLD
Scenery, stages, tents, light, sound, strange structures. Dream it, sketch it, build it. Need a ladder?
A multiverse of dreamers, freaks and doers.
Somewhere between a circus, a living theatre and a time-travelling portal. Built with analog toys, wild imagination and people who dare to turn a dream into something you can walk inside.
And you. Yes, yes, YOU. Welcome home.
We've missed you — and all your shenanigans.

What if the stage was everywhere? Under your feet. Behind the curtain. Around the dinner table. In the workshop. On the dancefloor. In that ridiculous idea someone whispers at 3 AM.
We dream of a fully equipped analog playground: vinyl and tape, instruments and handmade contraptions, lights and sound, circus tents and unexpected turns. A portal into authentic experiences — where dream state and reality get gloriously confused.
Our first rule? It's about the journey. And the party. Not a perfect programme. Not a polished product. A living world that keeps changing because you are here.
Audience? Crew? Artist? Builder? Dreamer? Yes.
CIRCUS the ANALOG exists only through participation. Nobody builds this world alone. Some of us bring big impossible dreams. Others bring a toolbox, a violin, a soup pot, a brilliant spreadsheet or a very questionable costume. Every contribution changes the story.
There is no single way to belong. Show up curious. Bring your superpower. Discover one you didn't know you had.
Scenery, stages, tents, light, sound, strange structures. Dream it, sketch it, build it. Need a ladder?
Cabaret, circus, dance, theatre, stories, open stage — and perhaps that glorious circus band we've been dreaming about.
Vinyl, cassettes, live instruments, jams and tactile machines. Less clicking. More touching reality.
Workshops, repairs, swaps, skills, experiments. Teach something. Learn something. Invent something absurd.
Welcome newcomers, cook, organise, coordinate, listen, care. The invisible work is part of the art.
Rest, talk, laugh, dance or watch the world unfold. You don't need to perform to be part of it.
Imagine a temporary circus town with room for performances, workshops, a café, a vinyl dancefloor, a repair corner and quiet conversations. The stage moves. The roles change. Sometimes the workshop becomes a show. Sometimes the best show is a shared breakfast.
And yes, dreams need structure. We plan, communicate, share responsibilities and look after our neighbours. Loud moments have their place; so do soft evenings and sleep. We care about good sound, thoughtful placement, fire safety, technical safety and clear awareness during events.
We welcome playful exploration and sex-positive conversations where appropriate — always grounded in consent, respect, boundaries and conscious space-holding. Nobody owes anyone participation, attention or access to their body.
Also, please don't push the button labelled DON'T PUSH. We're still investigating what it does.
This world grows from experiences in the European regional Burn community and Burning Man in Nevada. The 10 Principles of Burning Man are a foundation we return to: Radical Inclusion, Gifting, Decommodification, Radical Self-reliance, Radical Self-expression, Communal Effort, Civic Responsibility, Leaving No Trace, Participation and Immediacy.
They're not decorations for a website. They're questions we try to live: Who gets to join? Who gets to create? What can we give without expecting something back? How do we care for each other, our neighbours and the ground beneath our feet?
CIRCUS the ANALOG is our own independent experiment, inspired by Burner culture and shaped by everyone who co-creates it. Not an official Burning Man project.
Borderland is one chapter. So are the other Burns, the festivals, the roads between them and the people we meet along the way. We want this circus to travel, transform and keep finding new co-dreamers.
One dream takes parts of our circus to Burning Man. Another takes the whole beautiful circus family across the ocean to Adelaide Fringe. Another imagines a larger travelling chapiteau — a place where art, infrastructure and community can grow together. Different dreams. Equal permission to be wildly ambitious.
And perhaps the next dream is yours. Got an idea for a performance, a space, a workshop, a strange machine or a better way to live together? Come closer. Tell us everything.
Bring your toys. Bring your skills. Bring your questions, your beautiful weirdness and your ridiculous ideas. The Opportunity Center is open.
